The Global Landcare Program offers small grants to new and established Landcare groups in developing countries. A little funding, in the right local hands, goes a long way for land, water and communities.
What we fund
Small grants
Grants for local Landcare groups to carry out practical projects, such as tree nurseries, school gardens, water care and sustainable farming.
Building Landcare capacity
Support for training, mentoring and networks so groups can grow their skills and keep going long after a project ends.
International Landcare focus
Funding for priority projects chosen by the Board that help Landcare take root in new places.
What we look for
Grants are approved by the ALI Fund Committee of Management. Groups applying need:
- A track record of community-based work
- A plan to deliver the project within twelve months, and to report back with photos
- A local organisation or person who will oversee the funds and the outcomes

About the ALI Fund
Our grants are paid from the ALI Fund, the public fund of Global Landcare Incorporated (ABN 77 081 537 703). The Fund is listed on the Register of Environmental Organisations, so donations are tax-deductible in Australia. It is managed separately by its own Committee of Management, chaired by Rob Youl.
The ALI Fund was founded by our great friend Horrie Poussard OAM. This work is his legacy. Read our tribute to Horrie
